Subscriptions
The annual subscription for individual members aged between 18 and 60 is £7.00, £6.00 if under 18 or over 60, family membership £9.50, £9.00 if over 60. Subscriptions should be paid to the Treasurer and fall due at the time of the Annual General Meeting in March.
Transport arrangements
Car transport is used to reach the starting point of most rambles, and car owners are asked to bring their cars to the specified meeting point, wherever possible. Ramblers without cars should also proceed to this meeting point. The current car mileage rate is 30p per mile. The meeting point at Maidenhead is in the Town Hall car park, access via Park Street, (GR890810 map 175).
Rambles
Visitors are welcome on 3 walks. Thereafter they should become members of MTR. Ramblers may meet in rain and mud, waterproof clothing and walking boots are advisable. Please remove boots before entering a member's car at the end of a ramble. Ramblers are responsible for carrying their own first aid kit. Lunch will be in the open unless otherwise stated. Ramblers should bring their own food and drink. If there is a pub stop, members using the facilities should patronise the pub and Leaders should confirm with the landlord/manager in advance. During the ramble the Leader is responsible for the whole party, ramblers are asked to remain with the party unless otherwise agreed with the Leader. It is regretted dogs are not allowed on MTR rambles. The six figure numbers quoted are National Grid references, followed by the number of the Ordnance Survey 1:50000 series map.
Booking events
Advance booking for events is only necessary if stated. Bookings are taken in order of receipt by the Leader and not by the postal date. Cheques should be made payable to MTR. With your booking please give a telephone number where you can be contacted. if you are a car owner please state whether or not you would be prepared to use your car for the event and what time you are able to depart. Bookings for weekends and other events can only be accepted from current MTR members. Deposits for weekends are not refundable in the event of cancellation after the closing date for the booking.
Footpaths
Footpath obstructions or closures, encroachments onto Green Belt land or any other action that threatens our "right to roam", should be reported to the Footpath Secretatry.
Ramblers Association
MTR is affiliated to the Ramblers and to the Chiltern Society

Insurance
Members of MTR and visitors are protected by the public liability insurance taken out by MTR in respect of legal liability for injury to persons and damage to property of third parties caused by negligent acts.
